Bronny James would likely have to be included in any such deal since LeBron almost certainly wants to play out the rest of his career with his son by his side.
James’ game has declined considerably this season. One of his former assistant coaches spoke with ESPN’s Dave McMenamin about the subject.
“He had that stretch where he looked probably as human as he’s never looked in his career,” one of James’ former assistant coaches told ESPN. “It seems like he’s prolonged it more than anybody ever has, but at some point, he’s going to just reach a point where he can’t do it. And it seems like that day is getting closer and closer now.”
With James rapidly approaching his 40th birthday, it’s unrealistic to expect him to carry an entire team like he used to.
James and Luka Doncic can help each other run the offense with their respective scoring and playmaking abilities, and Kyrie Irving can take a significant load off their plates with his knack for scoring on and off the ball.
Given the history James and Irving have as teammates, this move can help get Dallas over the top, and this is a fairly reasonable price to pay for The King.
